I can't believe how much the Baarish video has done for me as an artiste. Messages have been flowing in ever since it was uploaded on youtube.

The icing on the cake was when Bollywood lyricit Swanand Kirkire commented, saying it was beautifully written and sung! :) That did a lot for me as i am only 3 songs old as a lyricist. My dear friend Ehsaan Noorani of Shankar Ehsaan Loy (Bollywood music directors) also heard the track before i released it and gave it his blessings, saying i had sung it really nicely. Several other music and film personalities including Raghu Dixit, who plugged the track on his facebook page, Aadesh Shrivastava (music director), Tauseef Akhtar (singer, composer) have liked the track.

I have also received a lot of offers from producers to collaborate on several projects. Its been really hard work but i feel that its been worth it!! Thank you to all the radio presenters who have supported me and played Baarish. A big thank you to all my fans, supporters & well wishers. Bless you all xx

Happy new year to you all! Hope you had a lovely xmas and a fab new year's eve!! I was performing with my band, The 515 Crew on New Year's eve. Had a great time dancing our way into 2012.

The new year has started well. Apart from a lot of radio stations showing great response to Baarish, i also have some exciting news that i am dying to share with everyone, but will hold back until everything is confirmed!! We also shot the video to Baarish last weekend and once editing is done, will be posting it up for you all to see. A lot of interesting developments are happening this year and its brilliant to see that all the hard work and late nights we put into our work will be paying off very soon!! Love to you all x

Hey everyone...my track Baarish feat. The 515 Crew is out now on itunes!! The response has been pretty good and radio stations are playing it up and down the country. It's been a tough ride getting up to here. Plenty of stress, hard work and a few teary days too. But then, when you are emotionally attached to your work, that happens!! Please continue to support me and download the track from itunes. We have produced 2 different versions just for you all!

Hey everyone...i am really happy with the response Diljaani has received since it's release on 27th October. A big thank you to everyone from radio presenters to my audience for the support they have given to this track! Several online publications have printed articles about it. They will be posted very soon on this website. Meanwhile...iam busy finishing off the next track. Should i give any hints about what kind of a song it is?? Happy New Year to everyone!! My new track, DILJAANI is now out on iTunes. Radio stations up and down the country have been playing it daily for the past 2 weeks and given it the thumbs up!! Exciting times ahead. I will soon be performing the track live at my gigs :)

Hope you are all gearing yourselves up for fireworks, food and sweets as Diwali is next week! My track, Diljaani feat. The 515 has been playing on radio staions up and down the country for the past few days and the response is greaaaaaat!!! :)) The track will be released and available for downloads on iTune from 27th October, a great day for release as it is also the first day of the hindu calendar. New year, new beginnings :)) A big thank you to Paul Shah of Sunrise Radio and Bobby Friction from the BBC Asian Network for thir support! :)

We decided to rename the track from Teri raani to 'Diljaani' and its not all set for release. Release will be around Diwali.23rd April 2011. Cant wait to start performing the track!! :)

Hey all, i apologise for being a little lax about writing my blog lately. This year has been busy with so much to get through. I also took a much needed trip out to India to take a break and also celebrate my birthday. Meeting up with musician friends, shopping and enjoying the sunshine was just what the doctor ordered! But once back in London, iam back to reality...i have a lot of things to get done. A few tracks are waiting to be recorded too. So let's get on with it! Meanwhile, its easter weekend so wish you all a great weekend!

Wishing everyone a very happy and musical new year from myself and the band. Its been a hectic December rehearsing for shows with the legendary Mangal Singh, Shin of DCS and Silinder Pardesi for a Rafi tribute nite in Birmingham and Bradford. The responses were awesome. I have always loved Rafi saab's voice and i loved the experience of hearing so many of his classic songs. :)

Maahi has completed its first week of release and i cant believe the response its had. Its got the thumbs up from industry professionals and the audience. This is my first release after a long time and its been worth it. Its not been smooth sailing all the way. A lot of effort has gone into getting the song and video out. As is always the case, nothing goes without a hitch. We had enough problems thrown in along the way but i guess if you want something badly enough, the universe conspires to help you. :)

The promo video of Maahi was uploaded last night at midnight. I never realised a 36 sec video could have such a huge impact!! The messages have been coming in thick and fast from all over the world, with great response for the song. Iam absolutely thrilled seeing all the support and appreciation. Paul Shah at Sunrise radio gave the song its very first airplay this evening and the response was great. Yup! they guaranteed its going to be a hit! Iam so pleased :)

Only a few days to go for Maahi promo to be released. Iam excited. Seems like ages since we filmed the video. Its been a long wait. I hope everyone loves the song!! :) A lot of hard work has gone into it. Its also the very first song i have written lyrics to.

Wishing everyone a very happy Diwali and a prosperous and peaceful new year. The diyas are on, sweets eaten, visits to family made and iam all done for today! London is cold and all i can think of right now is a mug of hot chocolate, a warm blanket, the fire burning and a good movie and a peek out of the window every now and then, at the fireworks displays up in the skies :)

My first show with Anup Jalota! It was at the Dorechester Hotel, London.A bit cold with AC full on but it warmed up later. The party was in celebration of M.F.Hussain, the famous painter's 95th birthday (OMG i had no idea he was that old!!) it was a pretty easy going show after that. Lovely singing with a legend like him.
